Such is the success that it has already won two prestigious awards; The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ (RICS) North East Renaissance Awards 2014 for Infrastructure and the ICE North East Robert Stephenson Award for projects over £4m.

The RICS Awards showcase the most inspirational regional initiatives and developments in land, property, construction and the environment. The annual ICE North East Robert Stephenson Awards are held to promote and reward excellence in civil engineering.

The project is also on a short list of 3 for the Concrete Society 2014 Excellence in Concrete Awards in the Civil Engineering Category. This award is the longest running award event in the UK Construction Industry. The winner will be announced later this year.
